Michael Matthews, Australian sprinter from Rabobank team won a brilliant victory in stage 3 Tour Down Under 2011. Rabobank sprinter was surprisingly managed to get rid of big names such as sprinters, Andre Greipel, Matt Goss and Simon Gerrans.
Michael Matthews is the UCI U-23 road race world champ in 2010.
The Rabobank rider 20 years young was successfully set aside André Greipel and compatriot Matthew Goss is in progress etape3 a mild incline finish, Michael Matthews seemed to know very well that other sprinter confirmed difficulties with the uphill sprint track.
"It's one of the most difficult race in TDU this year so it is a good result for me and thanks to my team," Matthews said after the finish.
"With about a kilometer to the finish ahead, I feel quite able to run ahead and I looked around and there are only a few runners there. I am a little worried about Goss because he was very quick. "
Peak re-classification change, after Robbie McEwen (Radio Shack) previously entitled Standings Jersey, Jersey must be willing to re-submit it to Matt Goss (HTC-Highroad).
